BMW has unveiled the i3 M60, the first M Performance version of its electric 3 Series sedan. The vehicle features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system and will be available with optional carbon-fiber M Performance Parts. While official power figures remain undisclosed, the model is expected to exceed the 463 horsepower and 645 Newton-meters of torque offered by the standard i3 50 xDrive.

The i3 M60 is scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2027, alongside the i3 50 xDrive and the M350 xDrive. Pricing for the M60 variant is expected to exceed the $67 250 starting price of the M350 xDrive. The standard i3 50 xDrive currently starts at $62 850 in the United States, including destination charges.

Performance capabilities for the M60 are projected to surpass the 4.7-second acceleration time to 100 km/h of the standard electric 3 Series. The vehicle will also feature a higher electronic top-speed limiter than the 200 km/h limit found on the non-M variant. Efficiency figures are expected to be lower than those of the standard model, which reaches up to 753 kilometers per charge under EPA testing.
