BMW has announced performance upgrades for the X3 M50 model. The output of its 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six mild-hybrid engine has been increased by 45 horsepower, reaching a total of 443 horsepower. Following these adjustments, the all-wheel-drive version now accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds.
The company also introduced a new Black Package for the X3 M50, featuring a motorsport-inspired design. This edition includes 22-inch black alloy wheels, high-gloss black brake calipers, and blacked-out BMW and M badges. Interior updates feature Alcantara upholstery on the dashboard and center console, M-branded headrests, blue seat stitching, and optional crystal glass controls.
These specific design elements for the Black Package will remain exclusive to this version. Additionally, BMW is updating the entire X3 lineup starting in December. Changes include new soft materials for the infotainment area, updated dashboard stitching patterns, ambient lighting in the center console and door handles, and a redesigned glove box release mechanism.
The entry-level X3 20 xDrive model is also receiving powertrain updates. Its four-cylinder engine is being modified to ensure compliance with the upcoming Euro 7 emission standards.
