Bain Capital Ventures has closed its 11th fund, securing $1,6 billion in capital. This new pool of funds represents a 14% increase compared to the firm's previous $1,4 billion fund raised three years ago.

The firm plans to allocate this capital to between 30 and 40 startups, focusing primarily on seed to Series B investment stages. Partners at the firm typically collaborate in teams of two or three to evaluate and support each deal.

Investment strategy centers on the post-AGI era, with a focus on compute infrastructure, healthcare, physical AI, and security. The firm aims to support infrastructure development until the cost of running AI reaches near-zero levels.

BCV highlights its connection to Bain Capital as a competitive advantage, offering founders access to debt facilities, real estate, insurance, and private equity expertise. Portfolio examples include data center developer Crusoe, longevity startup Loyal, and security firm Dream.
