Axis Robotics has launched its AXIS utility token on the Base network to incentivize the collection of training data for robots. The platform utilizes a train-to-earn model, allowing users to teleoperate simulated robots via web browsers or mobile apps without needing specialized hardware.

By the time of the token launch on October 10, 2026, the project had gathered between 5.5 and 7 million robot trajectories from over 200,000 contributors. Each verified contribution is recorded on-chain on Base with a unique Data ID to ensure provenance and ownership.

The company conducted a community token sale from September 21 to 28, 2026, selling 10 million tokens at a price of $0.10 each. Additionally, the project secured $12 million in a seed funding round led by Hack VC to support its operations.

The platform leverages the Base network to reduce transaction costs associated with on-chain data recording. Rewards for contributors are structured based on the quality of the submitted movement sequences rather than the total volume of data provided.
