Asymptote Labs has secured $5.5 million in an oversubscribed seed funding round. The investment was led by Tower Research Ventures, with participation from Lytical Ventures, 1984 Ventures, and South Park Commons. The company plans to use the capital to expand its engineering team and accelerate product development.

The startup provides runtime infrastructure for AI agents. Its core open-source project, Beacon, captures agent activity across more than 20 harnesses, including Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor. The data is normalized into a common model that extends OpenTelemetry, allowing enterprises to monitor and secure agent actions.

The enterprise platform built on Beacon enables real-time security detections, policy enforcement, and governance. It is designed to help organizations detect threats and block risky actions before they occur. Financial services firms and other regulated enterprises are among the early adopters of the technology.

Beacon has gained significant traction in the developer community. In September, the project saw its GitHub stars grow by more than 460 percent and reached the number three spot on GitHub’s global trending repositories. The project was initially launched as open-source in May.
