Apple is planning to introduce new AI-powered audio features for its wearable devices in the fall of 2026. The upcoming Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 will feature tools designed to process ambient audio and generate transcripts.

The Siri Recap function will act as an automated note-taking assistant, capturing key points from daily conversations to help users review missed information. Meanwhile, the Live Recap feature will provide a real-time text transcription of the last 15 seconds of speech.

The new software will also enable the devices to detect specific environmental sounds, including sirens, doorbells, and infant cries. These capabilities are intended to provide users with immediate context regarding their surroundings.

Apple has stated that these features will be optional, allowing users to toggle them based on their preferences. The company emphasized that no raw audio recordings will be stored or accessed by Apple or third-party applications, as data is deleted immediately after processing.
