Apple has updated the operational guidelines for its retail stores, introducing stricter requirements for pre-opening staff meetings. According to reports, employees are now required to stand throughout the entire briefing session, with prohibitions on using electronic devices or consuming beverages during this time.

The company has also adjusted its opening procedures. Stores are expected to open their doors five minutes earlier than the officially announced time. Upon the arrival of the first customers, all store staff are now required to applaud to welcome them into the retail space.

In addition to operational changes, Apple is testing new AI-driven tools to assist retail staff. The company is trialing AI-generated notes for Genius Bar appointments to automate documentation, provided that customers give their consent for the process.

Furthermore, Apple is experimenting with an AI-powered assistant within the Apple Store application. This tool is designed to provide automated answers to customer inquiries regarding products, aiming to streamline the support experience within the retail ecosystem.
