Retailers in Russia anticipate a price increase for iPhone 16 and 17 models following the latest Apple product launch. Market participants attribute this trend to rising procurement costs, logistics expenses, and the weakening of the ruble, alongside Apple's own global price adjustments.
Citilink expects price hikes of 10% or more for specific models, likely becoming evident in October as existing inventory is depleted. Data from Yandex Market shows that between September 7 and 13, the average price of the iPhone 17 Pro Max rose by 10%, while the iPhone 17 Pro and 16 Pro Max increased by 5%.
Major retailers like restore: and MTS expect gradual price adjustments as stock is replenished, while Wildberries anticipates changes within a month of new procurement terms. Conversely, M.Video and DNS report that current inventory levels may temporarily stabilize prices, with no immediate increases observed at DNS.
Consumer interest in older models remains high. Avito reported that during the first week of September, search queries for the iPhone 17 Pro with 256 GB and 512 GB grew by 5.8 and 5.5 times, respectively, while interest in the iPhone 17 Air rose by 3.6 times.
Apple has increased prices for remaining previous-generation models by $100. Furthermore, new devices are more expensive than their predecessors, with the price difference for the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max ranging from $100 to $500 depending on storage capacity.
