Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman reports that Apple plans to launch a redesigned MacBook Pro next month. The upcoming model is expected to feature an OLED touchscreen, marking a significant shift in display technology for the laptop line.

The new device will reportedly be noticeably lighter than its predecessors. Apple aims to achieve this weight reduction by shrinking internal components and reorganizing the internal layout, though specific weight figures or percentages remain undisclosed.

The laptop will likely be available in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes. Current models, which feature M5 Pro or M5 Max chips, weigh between 1.60 and 2.15 kilograms depending on the configuration. The new version may also introduce a thinner chassis and replace the notch with a Dynamic Island.

Regarding internal hardware, reports on the processor remain inconsistent. While some sources suggest the inclusion of M6 or M5 Ultra chips, others point to the continued use of M5 Pro and M5 Max. Apple has not confirmed the final specifications or the release date.
