Apple has introduced the HomeView smart home display, which is available in two distinct versions priced at $299 each. One model features a speaker base, while the other is designated as a wall-mounted unit. Despite the identical base price, the wall-mounted version requires a separate purchase of a mounting and power solution to function.
The company offers three mounting options from Schneider Home. The Power Mount USB-C Wall Connector is priced from $59.95, and the Power Mount AC Wired starts at $79.95. Both are currently available for order through the official Apple website and app. A third option, the Power Mount PoE Wired, is scheduled for release in early 2027 with a price of $129.95.
Customers selecting the wall-mounted version must choose a mount during the checkout process, as the device cannot operate without one. The wall-mounted model is distinct from the desktop version and cannot be converted. While the desktop model includes a speaker base, the wall-mounted variant is sold in two colors and lacks this base, necessitating additional expenditure for installation hardware.
