Apple is preparing to integrate third-party AI chatbots into its HomeView smart home hub. Code found in the iOS 27.3 beta confirms that services like ChatGPT and Claude will be supported through the new ConversationalApps category.

The feature relies on the PebblePlay tool, which acts as a bridge for automotive connectivity and now includes support for conversational applications. This mechanism functions similarly to the existing CarPlay framework, allowing Apple to manage permitted third-party software categories.

In addition to AI chatbot integration, recent code analysis suggests that HomeView may eventually function as a HomeKit-compatible security camera. These updates follow the initial launch of the device, which took place on October 13, 2026.

HomeView is designed as a shared smart display for households. Its primary features include centralized smart home management, music playback, video calling, and home monitoring capabilities.
