Hardware startup Aina has introduced a new smart ring designed to interact with AI agents and manage various applications. The device is equipped with a built-in screen, a joystick, a microphone, and a speaker, allowing users to take calls, dictate notes, and receive notifications directly on their finger.

The ring supports gesture controls and can be used to manage music playback or smart home devices like Apple TV. It is positioned as a controller for both AI-powered and standard software, enabling users to send prompts to agents or set reminders through the device.

Aina previously developed a three-key controller called Mirage for Mac applications. The company raised $5.5 million in July to support its operations and hardware development.

Pre-orders for the new device begin this Thursday at an early-bird price of $399. The startup expects to commence shipping the product in January 2027.
