Apple is reportedly developing a high-end smart home display, internally codenamed J595 and referred to as HomeView Max. The device is expected to feature a 9-inch screen, which is two inches larger than the standard HomeView model released in 2026.
The standout feature of the new model is a motorized robotic arm capable of 360-degree rotation. This mechanism is designed to automatically adjust the screen's orientation based on the user's location and voice, allowing the device to track individuals as they move around a room.
The HomeView Max will continue to rely on Siri AI and Apple Intelligence for personalized interactions. The system is intended to identify specific family members and provide tailored information, such as calendars and messages, while maintaining privacy and individual user profiles.
While the standard HomeView launched with a 7-inch Liquid Retina display and a price of $299, the Max version remains in the research and development phase. Apple has not confirmed final specifications, and market release is currently projected for 2027 or 2028.
