Apple held its annual fall event, marking the first keynote led by new CEO John Ternus. The company introduced the iPhone Duo, its first foldable smartphone, which starts at $1,999 and is scheduled to ship on October 23.

The new A20 Pro chip powers the latest iPhone Pro models. This processor features desktop-class cores designed for AI tasks and is built using the TSMC 2-nanometer process.

Apple updated its assistant to Siri AI, which now functions as a standalone app. It processes over 2.5 billion daily requests and integrates with more than 300,000 applications.

A new feature, Siri Recap, will launch in beta later this year to summarize conversations using ambient listening. Apple stated that it will not store or share the underlying audio data.

The company also updated its Health app with AI-powered coaching. The Apple Watch now analyzes sleep, vitals, and activity to provide a daily capacity score for users.

While Apple emphasizes its own AI models, reports indicate that Siri utilizes Google Gemini technology. Apple did not mention Google or Gemini during the presentation.
