Apple has reintroduced a black color option to its iPhone Pro lineup with the launch of the iPhone 18 Pro. This marks a return to the classic aesthetic after the company opted for orange, silver, and blue finishes for the iPhone 17 Pro series last year.

The absence of a black or dark gray model in the previous generation was a notable departure from the company's design history. Apple first established the Pro series in September 2019 with the release of the iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max, consistently offering darker colorways until the 2025 cycle.

The new iPhone 18 Pro lineup also includes color variants such as burgundy, blue, and silver. While the author currently uses a black titanium iPhone 16 Pro, the addition of the black finish to the latest flagship model restores the option for users who prefer neutral tones.
