Anthropic PBC has officially submitted its S-1 filing to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, initiating the process for an initial public offering on the Nasdaq exchange under the ticker symbol ANT. The company aims to potentially raise up to $100 billion through this offering.

The company reported significant revenue growth, reaching $16,3 billion in the first half of 2026, compared to $1,16 billion during the same period in 2025. Despite this growth, Anthropic recorded a net loss of $80,7 billion for the first half of 2026, up from a loss of $13 billion in the first half of 2025.

In May, Anthropic secured $65 billion in funding, which established a valuation of $965 billion. Recent internal data shared with investors suggests a valuation of $1,5 trillion, a decrease from a previous estimate of $2 trillion. The company continues to compete with OpenAI and various open-source models.

CEO Dario Amodei has publicly advocated for a more cautious approach to AI development, citing safety and ethical concerns. The company acknowledged in its prospectus that its future success is contingent upon its ability to maintain the development of advanced AI models, including its Claude and Mythos series.
