The OptiScaler community has ported AMD FSR 4.1.2 to Intel Arc graphics cards. This unofficial project utilizes Intel XMX matrix acceleration cores to process the neural super-resolution model, specifically optimizing the FSR 4 INT8 DLL.
Benchmarks on the Intel Arc A770 running The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered at 1080p in Quality mode show the FSR 4.1.2 Lite version achieving an average of 101.5 FPS with a processing time of 0.75 milliseconds. For comparison, native XeSS SR recorded 101.1 FPS at 0.84 milliseconds.
Testing on the Arc B580 with the game Expedition 33 in Balanced mode resulted in a processing time of approximately 0.59 milliseconds for FSR 4.1.2 Lite. This performance is nearly identical to the 0.58 milliseconds recorded by XeSS SR.
