Amazon has rebranded its Kindle Unlimited subscription service to Kindle Plus. The monthly fee for the service remains $11.99, providing access to a selection of ebooks, comics, and magazines.

The updated service now includes thousands of audiobooks narrated by AI virtual voices. Users can switch between reading and listening while maintaining their progress across devices.

Subscribers can borrow up to 20 titles simultaneously without specific return dates. The service remains a standalone subscription separate from the Amazon Prime membership program.

Authors on the Kindle Direct Publishing platform can now include their audiobooks in the service. New titles enrolled in KDP Select will automatically feature virtual voice narrations, with an opt-in option for existing works.

The platform also integrates audiobooks created through the Audible Audiobook Creation Exchange marketplace. This feature is currently limited to US subscribers, with plans for future international expansion.
