Samsung has officially entered the refurbished smartphone market on Amazon, offering certified renewed devices. These units come with a new battery and a one-year warranty, marking a shift in the company's retail strategy following recent price increases for its latest flagship models.
The pricing for the certified renewed Galaxy S24 FE with 128GB of storage currently starts at $489. This figure is lower than the original launch price of $649. The company aims to provide an alternative for consumers who prefer pre-owned hardware over purchasing new devices or utilizing financing programs.
Other manufacturers, including Apple and Google, also maintain dedicated sections for refurbished products on their official online stores. While Samsung emphasizes the inclusion of a new battery in its certified program, consumers can also source pre-owned devices through third-party platforms like Back Market, often at lower price points.
