Amazon has introduced Amazon Connect Talent, a new tool designed to automate high-volume hiring processes. The system utilizes AI agents to handle tasks ranging from job description analysis to conducting voice interviews with candidates at any time of the day.
The AI agents evaluate applicants based on role requirements and generate interview plans. Recruiters receive a summary, full transcripts, and AI-generated scores to make final hiring decisions. According to AWS, this approach aims to reduce hiring timelines from weeks to days.
Amazon Connect Talent is part of a broader suite of agentic AI solutions announced by AWS in April. The lineup includes Amazon Connect Decisions for supply chain logistics, Amazon Connect Customer for conversational AI, and Amazon Connect Health for administrative automation.
During the July 30 earnings call, CEO Andy Jassy highlighted the company's focus on agentic applications. He noted that the platform is currently being utilized by major organizations in the airline, banking, and healthcare sectors, with continued rapid growth.
