Amazon introduced a new plugin at its Accelerate conference, enabling independent sellers to manage ecommerce operations through AI assistants. The tool allows users to adjust prices, update listings, and monitor inventory without accessing the Seller Central portal. Integration with Anthropic’s Claude or Amazon Quick takes approximately 60 seconds.

The plugin is currently available in beta for U.S.-based sellers, with an international rollout planned for the coming weeks. Sellers retain full control over data access and must approve each action performed by the AI. Amazon also updated its Seller Assistant with a canvas feature for strategic planning and campaign analysis.

To encourage adoption, Amazon is offering all platform sellers a free 12-month subscription to Amazon Quick Plus. While the company blocked Meta’s Muse agent for failing to comply with website rules, it continues to integrate Anthropic’s Claude, citing its existing investment relationship with the AI firm. Further third-party chatbot integrations are expected in the future.
