Amazon has expanded its Bee product line with two new ambient AI devices, Bee Eclipse and Bee Frontier, announced on October 15. The Bee Eclipse is a credit card-sized device that attaches to a smartphone. It is designed to record conversations and generate summaries, insights, and to-do lists, such as tracking travel logistics.

The company stated that Bee Eclipse does not store, share, or allow access to audio recordings. Users must obtain permission from all participants before the device begins recording. This privacy-focused approach aligns with the broader operational standards for the Bee product family.

The second new product, Bee Frontier, is a wearable device that can be worn on the wrist or clipped to clothing. Amazon describes it as a personal AI capable of operating for a full week without interruption. The device is designed to learn from user interactions over time to become more effective.

The Bee brand was acquired by Amazon last year. Former Bee CEO Maria de Lourdes Zollo noted that the acquisition aimed to bring personal, agentic AI technology to a wider customer base. The integration allows the technology to leverage Amazon’s resources for broader consumer reach.

Amazon continues to grow its retail presence, with recent data showing its share of total U.S. retail spending reached 9.6% in the second quarter of 2026, surpassing Walmart's 7.5%. The company is actively expanding its influence across various product categories, including electronics and personal care.
