Amazon has introduced two new AI-powered recording devices under the Bee brand: the Frontier wearable and the Eclipse smartphone attachment. The Frontier is priced at $74.99 and can be worn on the wrist or clipped to clothing, while the Eclipse costs $99.99 and is designed to attach to a mobile phone.

Both devices utilize built-in microphones to capture audio, which a companion app then transcribes in real time. The software segments conversations and generates summaries, insights, and action items. The devices support up to 40 languages and do not store raw audio files, retaining only processed insights and permitted data.

Users can access a free subscription tier that provides conversation summaries and a 14-day memory. The Bee Pro plan, priced at $11.99 per month, offers unlimited features and integrations with Amazon and third-party services. This pricing structure differs from the original Bee Pioneer model, which launched at $49.99 with a $19 monthly subscription.

Amazon acquired the startup Bee in July 2025 following a $7 million seed funding round. Since the acquisition, the company has integrated Bee technology with Alexa and introduced features like voice notes. The new hardware aims to compete with existing market players such as Plaud Note and Pocket AI.
