Aito, a brand developed by Huawei and Seres, will utilize Bosch's technology for its upcoming international vehicle lineup. The overseas versions of the Aito M6, M7, M8, and M9 models will feature Bosch's full suite of intelligent solutions, including driver assistance, smart cockpit, and chassis systems.
Development for these international models is already underway, with mass production of highway navigate-on-autopilot functions tentatively scheduled for September 2027. This shift indicates that Aito will move away from Huawei's proprietary intelligent systems for its global expansion strategy.
Seres plans to launch these four SUV models in the European market in the fall of 2027. Additionally, the brand is exploring expansion into the Middle East, having previously signed an agreement with a UAE dealer in February 2026 for sales and after-sales support.
Huawei is also adjusting its cooperation model with other partners. Luxeed, a brand created with Chery, intends to enter the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Europe using Chery's internal intelligent driving and cockpit systems rather than Huawei's solutions.
These strategic changes follow a new five-year agreement between Huawei and Seres signed on September 30, 2026, which grants Seres greater control over product, marketing, and service systems. The move comes amid a broader downturn in the Chinese domestic automotive market.
