Qijing Auto, a premium electric vehicle brand established by Huawei's Yinwang and GAC Group, is reportedly developing new models compatible with battery-swapping technology. Industry insiders suggest that given the deep collaboration between Qijing and Huawei's Qiankun system, these vehicles are expected to be among the first to implement such solutions.

The initiative follows a strategic framework agreement signed on October 19 between Yinwang, CATL, and Contemporary Amperex Energy Service. Yinwang has officially joined CATL's 'Chocolate' battery-swapping ecosystem. The partnership focuses on integrating Yinwang's vehicles with CATL's swapping network to expand charging infrastructure.

Reports indicate that Yinwang and CATL are currently working on the development of an initial batch of five new models. These vehicles are scheduled to hit the market in 2027. While Yinwang confirmed the core objectives of the strategic agreement, the company has not provided specific comments regarding the production timeline or the exact number of models.

Additional reports suggest that the first vehicle resulting from the collaboration between Huawei's Yinwang and CATL's battery-swapping system is expected to launch in 2027 under the Yijing brand, which is a joint venture between Dongfeng and Huawei.
