Zilch, a British payments unicorn, has invested €91 million into a new London headquarters. The company has secured a 10-year lease for a 33,160 sq ft office space at 40 Grosvenor Place, which will occupy the fourth and fifth floors and accommodate over 400 staff members.

The expansion follows a €150 million debt and equity funding round completed in November 2025. CEO Philip Belamant noted that the company's customers have surpassed £8 billion in total spending across the UK. The firm aims to use the new facility to support its ongoing recruitment efforts and business scaling.

Zilch's growth strategy includes the acquisition of Fjord Bank, announced in January 2026, with completion expected in the first half of 2027. The company also maintains a multi-year partnership with Visa and serves as the official payment partner for Arsenal FC.

The broader European fintech sector saw significant financing activity in 2026. Companies such as Primer, Vuelo, Plend, ID Finance, BCAS, Sokin, and Ryft collectively raised approximately €889.5 million in disclosed funding and credit facilities throughout the year.
