Investor Yvonne Bajela has launched a new venture capital firm, Evertrue, securing $17 million in capital. The fund aims to support early-stage startups across the United Kingdom and Europe, with a focus on the artificial intelligence and fintech sectors.
Evertrue plans to invest in at least 20 companies over the next three years. The firm intends to issue average checks of £350,000 per startup. To date, the fund has already backed seven companies.
The fund attracted five institutional investors, including the British Business Bank and Basecamp, a fund-of-funds managed by Phoenix Court. Evertrue participated in the British Business Bank’s Investor Pathways initiative, which allocated £90 million to 10 emerging fund managers.
Approximately 80% of the fund's limited partners are based in the U.K., with the remainder located in Asia, the U.S., and other parts of Europe. More than half of the current portfolio companies already operate in the United States.
