Yandex confirmed that its supercomputers, named Lyapunov, Chervonenkis, and Galushkin, remained undamaged following drone attacks on the company's data centers in October. The equipment has been relocated and is currently being deployed at new computing sites.

According to company representatives, the supercomputers function independently and can operate across different data centers. This infrastructure continues to support Yandex services and the training of fundamental language models.

Drone strikes occurred in Sasovo on October 8, Kaluga on October 9, and Vladimir on October 11. Minister of Digital Development Maksut Shadayev stated on October 14 that Yandex successfully migrated key systems to pre-prepared backup facilities with government assistance.

The company noted that its distributed network architecture, developed over several years, ensured the stability of its IT infrastructure. The supercomputers are built using AMD EPYC processors and Nvidia A100 accelerators.

AI development remains a primary business focus for Yandex. CEO of Alice and Smart Devices, Valery Stromov, confirmed in September that AI represents the most significant and capital-intensive investment in the company's history.
