Yandex is currently restoring its infrastructure following drone attacks that disrupted operations at three data centers. The facilities in Vladimir, Sasovo, and Kaluga were affected, with the sites in Vladimir and Sasovo currently fully offline.

The damaged infrastructure includes the Galushkin supercomputer in Vladimir, as well as the Chervonenkis and Lyapunov supercomputers in Sasovo. The Kaluga data center housed over 3,800 server racks with a total capacity of 63 MW.

Yandex Cloud has warned clients of unstable resource configurations and is collaborating with Selectel, K2Cloud, and VK Cloud to facilitate data migration. The company denied rumors that it is prioritizing its own services over those of its partners.

Experts estimate that replacing the damaged hardware could take up to six months. Industry representatives suggest that supply chain constraints may prevent Yandex from acquiring significant equipment volumes before the end of the year.

Following the incidents, Yandex updated its user agreement to include a force majeure clause regarding drone attacks. Market analysts anticipate that increased security expenditures and recovery costs may eventually impact service tariffs for end users.
