Yandex has restored access to the Yandex Direct advertising platform following a service outage that began on October 11. The disruption was caused by drone strikes on the company's data centers, which occurred in the Ryazan region on October 8, the Kaluga region on October 9, and the Vladimir region on October 11.
While access to the web interface and mobile application is back, full functionality remains limited. Users can currently launch existing campaigns, pause active ones, and top up their balances. However, editing settings is restricted, and some tools remain offline. The company noted that statistics may be incomplete.
The infrastructure damage affected over ten services relying on Yandex servers, including Yandex Go, Yandex Mail, Yandex Pay, Cian, and the dating app Twinby. Yandex Advertising warned that the incident could impact ad performance, as automated strategies require time to recalibrate to the new conditions.
Yandex Direct currently serves more than 630 000 advertisers. The company is working to restore full operational capacity across its affected platforms following the series of incidents that impacted its regional data center infrastructure.
