Yandex has fully suspended operations at its data center in the Vladimir region following a drone attack that occurred between October 10 and 11, 2026. The incident caused infrastructure damage and a fire, though no injuries were reported. The facility, which has a capacity of 50 megawatts and space for 2,880 server racks, was taken completely offline.

The shutdown disrupted more than 80 cloud and consumer services. Affected products include Yandex Cloud computing, storage, databases, and AI APIs like YandexGPT. Consumer-facing applications, specifically Yandex Music and the taxi service Yandex Go, also experienced service interruptions. Additionally, the strike caused power outages for approximately 5,000 local residents.

This incident follows a series of attacks on the company's infrastructure. On October 8, 2026, the Yandex data center in Sasovo was shut down due to a fire, and on October 9, the Kaluga facility was partially disabled. Following the second strike in this sequence, Yandex shares on the Moscow Exchange fell by nearly 4 percent.
