Yandex B2B Tech has launched a new cybersecurity division, Yandex Security, aimed at protecting hybrid, local, and multi-cloud infrastructures. The company plans to partner with several major cloud providers by the end of 2026 to expand its reach.

The new Yandex Security Deck platform provides a centralized interface for monitoring security across different cloud environments. It automates risk analysis, configuration error detection, and access monitoring, allowing businesses to eliminate visibility gaps in their infrastructure.

The Identity Hub service now supports passwordless authentication using WebAuthn and FIDO2 standards. Employees can authenticate via facial recognition, fingerprints, or hardware keys, which helps mitigate risks associated with credential theft and phishing attacks.

Yandex Smart Web Security has introduced a JS-Challenge feature to filter bot traffic. This tool performs background checks and dynamically assesses request risks, displaying traditional CAPTCHA only when suspicious activity is detected to improve user experience.

The Access Analyzer module has been added to Yandex Security Deck to manage system permissions. It identifies redundant access rights and unused service accounts, enabling administrators to enforce the principle of least privilege by suggesting more granular roles.
