XPeng showcased its latest developments at the Paris Motor Show, including the new G9L vehicle model. The company also provided updates on its progress in robotics and autonomous driving technologies.
The company has officially launched its robot production line. The first high-level general-purpose humanoid robot, named IRON, has completed automated assembly. This robot features multi-modal interaction capabilities, including facial recognition, conversation memory, and support for Chinese, English, and German languages.
XPeng plans to achieve mass production of its humanoid robots by the end of 2026. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in the first half of 2027. The robots will initially be deployed in commercial settings such as retail stores and shopping malls, with future expansion into industrial and domestic environments.
In the autonomous driving sector, XPeng has integrated its second-generation VLA model, which covers capabilities from L2 to L4. This model is now deployed in the company's L4-level Robotaxi, officially named XPENG YOYO. A dedicated ride-hailing mini-program has been launched to initiate public testing and commercial operations.
