Geely Holding Group has entered into a global strategic partnership with Google to integrate digital cockpit ecosystems into its vehicles for overseas markets. The first vehicle equipped with Google Automotive Services is scheduled for release in the second half of 2027, with the timeline subject to development, regulatory compliance, and market readiness.
The collaboration includes the integration of Google Automotive Services, such as the Gemini AI assistant, Google Maps, and the Google Play Store. These features aim to provide multimodal voice interaction, global navigation, and cross-device connectivity. Polestar has been part of this cooperation since 2020.
The initiative will eventually extend to several brands under the Geely Holding umbrella, including Geely, Lynk & Co, Proton, Radar, and smart. According to Geely's CTO Shen Yuan, the partnership focuses on aligning in-car connectivity with the user experience found in consumer electronics to meet global demand for seamless digital services.
