RoboCT, a Hangzhou-based company founded in 2017, is expanding from clinical rehabilitation into the consumer mobility market. The firm develops motors, sensors, and control algorithms for lower-limb exoskeletons. By 2025, the company had entered markets in Japan, Thailand, and the United Arab Emirates.
In March 2026, RoboCT secured over ¥100 million in a Series B+ funding round led by ABC Capital. The company plans to use these funds for R&D, international expansion, and the development of brain-computer interface products. This marks the company's second financing round within a year.
The company launched production of its GoGo mobility-assistance exoskeleton at a new facility in Wuxi in July 2026. The device weighs 2.3 kilograms and is designed for outdoor use. The facility operates two production lines, each with a capacity of approximately 150 units.
RoboCT also utilizes a direct-to-consumer strategy through its international brand, Ascentiz. A recent Kickstarter campaign for its products attracted 2,301 backers and raised over HKD 20.6 million in pledges.
According to a 2026 IDC report, the Chinese exoskeleton market reached over ¥1.6 billion and 26,000 units in 2025. While medical rehabilitation leads in total value, consumer-assistance devices represent more than 70% of total shipments in the country.
