Xpeng has launched the G9L, a 5-seat flagship SUV available in battery-electric and extended-range versions. The vehicle features an 800-volt platform with 5C charging, allowing a 10% to 80% charge in 11 minutes. Standard equipment includes dual-chamber air suspension, rear-wheel steering, and the VLA model for autonomous driving.
The model is offered in 6 variants with limited-time pricing ranging from ¥231,800 to ¥309,800. This entry price is 10.8% lower than the pre-sale figure announced in August. The BEV versions offer ranges up to 755 km, while the EREV variants provide a combined range of 1,602 km using a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine.
The G9L is central to Xpeng's strategy to exceed 60,000 monthly sales in the fourth quarter. The company delivered 39,107 vehicles in August, bringing the year-to-date total to 243,111 units. Xpeng plans to expand its presence to 64 countries and has already begun production of right-hand-drive units for the Australian market.
The SUV measures 5,120 mm in length and features a 3,100 mm wheelbase. Interior highlights include a 21.4-inch rear screen, a 12.5-liter refrigerator, and zero-gravity seats. Depending on the trim, the vehicle is equipped with up to three Turing AI chips, providing a maximum computing power of 2,250 TOPS.
