Xpeng has introduced the G9L, a new luxury SUV that expands the existing G9 lineup. The vehicle is currently available in China and is scheduled for a European launch, with an official unveiling planned for the Paris Motor Show.
The G9L is 5.12 meters long, 1.78 meters tall, and 2 meters wide. It is 23 centimeters longer than the standard G9, with a wheelbase increased by 12 centimeters. The model features electrically operated doors and a sliding step for easier access.
The interior focuses on passenger comfort, particularly in the rear. The six-seater version includes individual seats with heating, ventilation, and massage functions, alongside a thermoelectric compartment and a retractable TV screen. Electric blinds are provided for privacy.
The vehicle is equipped with a 110 kWh gross battery, supporting DC charging up to 540 kW, which allows a 10 to 80 percent charge in under 12 minutes. It also includes a 22 kW AC charger for home use.
The rear-wheel-drive version offers 270 kW and a 591 km WLTP range, while the all-wheel-drive model provides 430 kW. The SUV has a maximum towing capacity of two tonnes and a front trunk capacity of 65 liters.
Boot space varies by configuration, reaching 1,330 liters in the six-seater model with the third row folded. While pricing remains undisclosed, Xpeng confirmed that the six-seater will be sold exclusively as an all-wheel-drive Performance model.
