Xiaomi has listed the Mijia Smart Dual-Control Clothes Dryer 2 on the Xiaomi Youpin platform. The crowdfunding campaign for the device begins on September 21 at 10:00 AM, with a starting price of ¥1 399.
The dryer features a 49.8-inch borderless light panel with a 50W power output and 3000lm luminous flux. Its design uses a patented mechanism that flips the drying rods behind the light panel, concealing them when not in use. The device body is 7cm thick.
The unit supports a maximum load of 40kg, which is an increase of approximately 14.3% compared to the previous generation. Users can extend the rods to access a hidden drying area, increasing the hanging capacity by about 73.6%.
The system is powered by dual motors, allowing independent control of each rod. This setup enables layered drying with a 114cm spacing between the rods to improve airflow. The light uses full-spectrum beads with a color rendering index of 97.
The device integrates into the Xiaomi smart ecosystem, allowing control via the Mijia app. Users can adjust brightness and color temperature between 2700k and 5700k. It also supports automated scenarios, such as lowering the rods once a washing cycle ends.
