Xiaomi has launched the Mijia Smart Range Hood 3 Max in China, featuring a 360-watt motor and an AI-powered camera system. The device utilizes a 3-megapixel camera and a VLA model trained on over 100,000 cooking videos to monitor the stove. It analyzes cooking conditions every 0.1 seconds and adjusts its power settings within 0.6 seconds.
The hood achieves a maximum airflow speed of 17.5 meters per second and a static pressure of 1700 Pa. Compared to the previous generation, airflow speed has increased by 34.6 percent, while static pressure rose by 89 percent and noise levels dropped by 84 percent. At peak power, the device operates at 59 decibels.
The system includes a PM2.5 sensor with air quality indicators and an ionization feature that removes 97 percent of PM2.5 particles and sterilizes up to 98 percent of contaminants. It also features an oleophobic coating on the impeller and an automated dry cleaning mode to simplify maintenance without disassembly.
The retail price for the unit is ¥6000, or $890. With government subsidies, the cost is reduced to ¥4600, or $685. The company also introduced the Mijia Timer Gas Stove 3 Max, which integrates with the hood to form a unified smart kitchen system capable of automatic heat regulation.
