The social media platform X has updated its mobile applications for iPhone and iPad, expanding the available library of app icons by more than ten new designs. This update provides users with additional aesthetic options for their home screens.

Access to these custom icons remains restricted to X Premium subscribers. The feature is not available to the general user base. It is currently unclear whether the Android version of the application will receive a similar update.

The ability to change app icons was originally introduced during the Twitter era as part of the Twitter Blue subscription service, which has since been rebranded as X Premium. The platform previously offered seasonal icons to its subscribers.

Following the rebranding of Twitter to X, the default application icon was changed to a black design. Subsequent updates have incorporated various space-themed icons into the selection menu.

Subscribers using iOS devices can access the new icon library by navigating to the Settings menu, selecting the Subscription section, and choosing the App Icon option to view and apply the latest designs.
