Wheelies, a Russian robotics software developer and part of the ITG corporation, has joined the National Autonomous Systems Association (NAS). The company aims to establish unified software standards for civilian unmanned systems to facilitate their integration into logistics and agriculture.
The industry currently faces significant challenges due to a lack of standardized software, which prevents autonomous systems from connecting with corporate IT infrastructures. According to research from CNews and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Russian commercial autonomous aviation market reached 26 ₽ billion in 2025 and is projected to hit 32 ₽ billion by the end of 2026.
Data from the Center for Strategic Research indicates that over 65% of companies identify weak digital infrastructure and software incompatibility as the primary barriers to adoption. Wheelies CEO Dmitry Kuzma stated that creating common standards will simplify the deployment of robotics for large businesses and reduce integration costs.
The NAS Association brings together developers, manufacturers, and clients to advance civilian technologies in sectors including energy, construction, and utilities. By aligning software approaches, the organization intends to transition from isolated robotic units to integrated digital ecosystems where hardware and data operate within a single framework.
