Walmart has integrated Papa John’s into its restaurant delivery network, allowing customers to order pizza directly through the retailer’s website or mobile application. Deliveries are promised within 30 minutes or less, and orders can be placed individually or combined with other Walmart purchases.

This partnership marks the third restaurant collaboration for Walmart in recent months, following similar deals with Dunkin’ and Subway. Unlike the previous partners, Papa John’s does not operate as a tenant within Walmart store locations.

According to company data, approximately 65% of restaurant orders placed through Walmart include additional retail items. The retailer continues to leverage its store network to increase delivery speed, which executives claim drives higher customer engagement and membership participation.

Walmart’s recent financial results highlight the impact of these services, with a 26% increase in eCommerce sales and a 45% growth in U.S. delivery volume. CFO John David Rainey noted that the company currently reaches about 60% of U.S. households within a 30-minute delivery window.

Beyond traditional delivery, Walmart is expanding its logistics infrastructure through a drone partnership with Alphabet’s Wing. This initiative is part of a broader competitive strategy against Amazon, which aims to extend its Prime Air drone service to nearly 500 U.S. locations by the end of 2026.
