VPG LaserONE, part of the Softline Group, has developed the Urolase Vision System (UVS), an AI-powered assistant for urological surgery. The platform analyzes endoscopic video in real time to identify stone types and recommend laser lithotripsy settings.
The system is designed as an add-on for existing Urolase+, Urolase+ Premium, and Urolase MAX laser units. It integrates into operating rooms without requiring major infrastructure changes and is compatible with various endoscope models.
UVS features a compact design weighing less than 10 kg and includes a memory capacity for over 100 hours of surgical recordings. The software allows for remote updates, enabling the addition of new features without hardware replacement.
Future updates for the platform are expected to include tumor boundary visualization for oncology applications. The system centralizes data from endoscopes, laser parameters, and tissue sensors into a single interface for surgeons.
