Volvo has unveiled a teaser for a new concept car scheduled to debut next year. The vehicle, which appears to be an SUV with a muscular hood and an upright grille, will showcase a new design language intended to influence all future models of the brand.

CEO Thomas Ingenlath stated that the upcoming design will draw inspiration from the company's heritage, specifically highlighting the iconic iron mark and the traditional diagonal slash. This aesthetic direction serves as a foundation for the brand's visual identity.

The company plans to launch 13 new models by the end of 2030 to increase its market share and profitability. These future vehicles will feature a shift in interior design, as Volvo intends to reintroduce physical buttons and switchgear to its cabins.

Ingenlath acknowledged that the brand became overly reliant on touchscreens, a practice that drew criticism from both customers and journalists. Future models will aim for a better balance between digital interfaces and physical controls for essential functions.
