Volkswagen has unveiled the ID. Tiguan, an electric successor to its ID.4 and ID.5 models. The vehicle is built on the updated MEB+ platform and offers two battery options: 58 kWh and 77 kWh.

The 58 kWh battery comes with a 187 hp rear motor. The 77 kWh version offers a 281 hp rear-wheel drive configuration or a 295 hp all-wheel drive setup. The maximum range reaches 600 km under the WLTP cycle.

The interior features a 15-inch infotainment screen and an optional 12-inch passenger display. Volkswagen has reintroduced physical controls, including buttons on the steering wheel and window switches.

The digital instrument cluster offers six retro dial themes, including designs inspired by the Mk1 Golf, Mk2 Golf Country, and the original Beetle. The design language is branded as Pure Positive.

Pre-sales in Europe begin next week with a starting price of €42 695 in Germany. The vehicle is scheduled for a European launch in early 2027, while North American details remain pending.
