Volkswagen is replacing the ID.4 and ID.5 models with the new ID. Tiguan, which features a traditional SUV design and a redesigned interior. The vehicle will launch in European markets in early 2027.

The model will be available with three powertrain configurations: a 58.0-kWh battery with 188 horsepower and rear-wheel drive, a 77.0-kWh battery with 281 horsepower and rear-wheel drive, and a 77.0-kWh battery with 295 horsepower and all-wheel drive.

The ID. Tiguan offers a maximum WLTP range of 600 kilometers. Towing capacity is rated at 1,800 kilograms for the 58.0-kWh version and 2,000 kilograms for the 77.0-kWh variants.

The interior includes a 10.0-inch digital instrument cluster, a 15.0-inch infotainment screen, and an optional 12.0-inch passenger display. Physical controls replace previous touch-sensitive buttons for key functions.

Pre-orders for the ID. Tiguan begin on October 13 in Germany and other European countries. The vehicle will be offered in four trim levels with a starting price of €42 695.
