Volkswagen has officially unveiled the ID. Tiguan, an electric crossover built on the upgraded MEB+ platform. This new model replaces the ID.4, which was produced since 2021 with nearly one million units sold globally alongside the ID.5 variant.
The vehicle features two battery options of 58 kWh or 77 kWh. The 58 kWh version comes with a 187 hp rear motor, while the 77 kWh version offers rear-wheel drive with 281 hp or all-wheel drive with 295 hp. The maximum range reaches 600 km under the WLTP cycle.
The interior includes a 15-inch infotainment screen and an optional 12-inch passenger display. The digital instrument cluster offers a retro mode, allowing drivers to select interface styles inspired by classic Volkswagen models like the Golf and the original Tiguan.
The design follows the Pure Positive style, incorporating traditional door handles and physical controls for climate and windows. Orders for the ID. Tiguan in Europe will open next week, with prices in Germany starting at €42 695.
