The Volga brand has surpassed Moskvich in sales volume within the Russian automotive market. According to data from Autostat, 793 Volga vehicles were sold between October 5 and October 25, while Moskvich recorded 694 units sold during the same period.

Moskvich, which was revived in 2022, saw a decline in demand following the suspension of government support programs. The brand currently relies heavily on the Moskvich 3 crossover, which accounts for approximately 80% of its total sales. Late last year, the company introduced a more expensive M-series based on SAIC's MG models.

Volga entered the market in the summer of 2026 with three models based on Geely vehicles. The brand's current sales leader is the K50 flagship crossover, which is based on the Geely Monjaro. Volga achieved this lead in market performance within five months of its launch.
