Versinetic has introduced two new controller boards, CongaEEL and MinnoRay, designed for manufacturers of AC electric vehicle chargers. The CongaEEL board serves as a power controller, while the MinnoRay board manages communications and control functions.
The CongaEEL board integrates a three-phase mains contactor, a residual direct current detecting device, current measurement, and an ISO 15118 interface. It is compliant with the IEC 61851 standard and can be stacked with either the MinnoRay or MantaRay boards.
The MinnoRay board features 10/100 Ethernet, an LTE Cat 1 bis modem, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth connectivity. It is compliant with the OCPP 1.6 protocol. This board is designed for cost-sensitive applications and is available for direct purchase or licensing.
By using these boards, manufacturers can build single- or dual-socket three-phase AC chargers with fewer components. This approach reduces the time and effort required for assembly, wiring, and compliance testing compared to designing systems from scratch.
