Unitree Robotics has unveiled the H2-X Kung Fu Legend Guardian, a humanoid robot capable of performing martial arts moves. The machine demonstrates the ability to strike, block attacks, and execute various kung fu techniques. Developers suggest the robot could serve as a bodyguard or assist in emergency situations, such as lifting vehicles or extinguishing fires.
The H2-X is based on the existing H2 platform and offers an autonomous runtime of approximately eight hours. While specific technical details for the H2-X remain undisclosed, the base H2 model stands 182 cm tall, weighs 70 kg, and features 31 degrees of freedom. Its joints provide a maximum torque of 360 Nm for legs and 120 Nm for arms, with a payload capacity of up to 15 kg.
The base H2 chassis is constructed from aerospace-grade aluminum, titanium alloy, and high-strength engineering plastics. It includes an air-cooling system, a computing chip with 2070 TOPS performance, and support for Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. Additionally, Unitree recently introduced the UnifoLM-X2-1.0 AI model, which enables robots to perform combat movements autonomously without remote control.
